Today, the Texas Senate held a crucial hearing and a vote on Senate Bill 2, the Texas Education Freedom Act. As a joint author of the bill alongside Sen. Creighton, I am honored to now see it headed to the senate floor where it will soon pass next week.

SB 2 would create a universal education savings account program—empowering parents with more choices and prioritizing support for low-income and special education students. Families across Texas are calling for an education system that puts their children’s success first, and I remain fully committed to stand with Texas families in the fight to ensure every child has access to the best possible education.
