Flower Mound, TX – Tan Parker, Texas State Representative and conservative Republican candidate for Texas State Senate District 12, released this statement:

“The new Texas Senate redistricting maps released on Saturday extend Senate District 12 into Dallas County.

“I am excited about having Dallas County in the new District boundary. While my House District is in neighboring Denton County, I have worked closely with the Dallas County Republican Party over many years and built strong working relationships there.

“I am proud to kick off our Dallas endorsements with these outstanding leaders for the area.

Rodney Anderson

A Full and Consequential Day at the Texas House!

A Full and Consequential Day at the Texas House!

Today was a very full and consequential day and night for the Texas House. We passed the historic election integrity bill on third reading, and it’s heading to the Senate for a conference committee report.

We also had a great day on property tax relief for Texans, passing legislation to help new homeowners, our residents who are 65, and those who are disabled.

We took up a lot of bills on second reading today. Texas is taking on border security with over $1 billion in new funding because Washington has walked away from its responsibilities. We also passed the 13th check for our retired teachers, the tech censorship bill to uphold freedom of speech for Texans, and protected Texans with meaningful bail reform to keep criminals off our streets.

Tan Parker: “Let’s Bring Them Back”

Texas Democrats need to be returned to the Capitol

Flower Mound, TX – Tan Parker, Texas State Representative and conservative Republican candidate for Texas State Senate District 12, released the following statement:

“Texans have had enough.  The time for niceties and cordiality has passed.  We cannot allow the tyranny of the minority to subvert the will of the majority at the expense of the people of this great state.

“It’s been 9 days since Speaker Phelan signed civil arrest warrants for missing House members who continue to put politics over duty.  Speaker Phelan needs to instruct Texas Department of Public Safety Director McCraw to use all means necessary to enforce the civil arrest warrants, return the missing Democrats to the House Floor, and get the House back to work on the people’s business.  Texans expect their Representatives to do the job they were elected to do.

“It’s been more than a month, and the missing Democrats still refuse to follow through on their duties to Texans.  They didn’t want to come back the easy way, and they’ve forced our state to return them the hard way.

“Legislators swear an oath to ‘faithfully execute the duties of the office’. They have broken faith with their constituents and abrogated their responsibilities.  It’s time for law enforcement to bring them back to the Capitol.”

Tan Parker Senate Campaign Surges

Early fundraising numbers demonstrate momentum

Flower Mound, TX – Tan Parker, Texas State Representative and conservative Republican candidate for Texas State Senate District 12, released early fundraising numbers for his campaign and offered this statement:

“The Senate campaign daily demonstrates strong momentum.  In just the first 30 days, we have received more than $100,000 in contributions.  We have also released an impressive list of endorsements, with more coming daily.

“While my primary focus remains on fulfilling my responsibilities to House District 63 in the Special Session – we all know those efforts have been stymied by the disgraceful quorum break by the House Democrats.

“All across Senate District 12, I hear the same two things repeated daily.  First, I’m grateful for the excellent work by Jane Nelson representing our area in the Texas Senate throughout her many years of public service.  Second, I’m anxious to see Tan Parker elected to fight for us in SD12.

“I find these words very humbling and inspiring.

“The Democrats must get back to the Capitol so we can complete the work that Texans sent us to accomplish.  I look forward to wrapping up in Austin and hitting the campaign trail full-time.”
