I’m Tan Parker, a life-long Republican who has had the honor of serving the people of House District 63 as their State Representative. I’m a husband, father, and proud member of our community working for you to build a stronger, more vibrant Texas, and I’m a candidate to serve as your State Senator for District 12!
My life has been shaped by hard work, independence, and focusing on finding solutions. With deep roots in farming and entrepreneurship, and building upon faith, community, and a belief in the greatness of our country, I began giving back to my country by following the example of my political hero, President Ronald Reagan.
Blessed with a world-class education from the University of Dallas and the London School of Economics, I entered public service in 2007 with a background in business and as a long-time resident of our area. I took an oath to be faithful in my duties as your state representative and set out to make government limited, responsive, and to work for the people.
Serving as your voice in Austin, we have honored the taxpayers by fighting against wasteful spending, kept taxes low, and protected life and liberty. We also advanced public safety and removed government regulatory burdens unleashing Texan innovation and leadership. We always kept the safety and wellbeing of our citizens foremost in mind, and cared for the most vulnerable in our society. Together, we’ve achieved great results.
The heart and soul of my work centers upon being accessible and helpful to constituents. To honor the faith people place in me to fulfill my elected responsibilities, being responsive is paramount. If you haven’t had an opportunity to come visit me either at my district office in Flower Mound, your state Capitol in Austin, or sit down for one of the First Saturdays of the Month coffees I host, I do hope you will in the near future.
My wife Beth has been my rock for over 27 years. She and our two daughters, Lauren and Ashley are the foundation on which I have built my life and join me taking this next step in my service to Texas. I humbly ask you to join us in this work for the people of Texas with your support in my race for Senate District 12.
Texas is a land of opportunity, a beacon of hope, and the best state in which to live, work, and raise a family. Let’s protect our Texas not just for today, but for generations to come. Together, we can make a difference!
May God bless you and continue to bless the great state of Texas!
