Today marked the Opening Day of the 89th Texas Legislature—a special and important occasion as I begin my service as Senator for the 12th Senate District and as Chairman of the Texas Senate Republican Caucus.

It was a true joy to celebrate this day with so many friends, family, supporters, constituents from the district, and fellow Texans from across our great state.

This session, we are ready to tackle the critical issues that matter most to Texans: strengthening our economy, securing our border, supporting families, safeguarding freedoms, and building a brighter future for all. I am deeply honored to serve and energized by the work ahead.
