Thank you for visiting my new website! I hope that you will find this to be a useful tool for learning more about House District 63, your state government, and my work in the Texas Legislature.

Texas is facing a critical point in our state’s history. When our lawmakers convene this January for the 82nd Legislative Session, critical decisions will have to be made on such key topics as: balancing our state budget, our business tax policy, job creation initiatives, and readying a workforce to compete in an ever growing global economy. I am proud to be your voice in the Texas House of Representatives, and to approach these and other state issues from the conservative standpoint.


Uphold Texas’ Prerogatives in Public Education

Together with our colleagues in the Legislature and Perry, we have a strong record of providing increased funding and other necessary resources to the public school system in Texas. Between 2000 and 2009, state spending on public education increased from $11 billion to $20 billion, an increase that underscores our commitment to public education.
